PRODUCTS AND SERVICES – SITE SCANNER
Site Scanner is a proprietary program operated by JCSI. Site Scanner updates and analyzes FCC Antenna Structure Registration (ASR) and FAA Determination databases on a daily basis. Specifically, Site Scanner identifies new ASR filings (Applications, Registrations, and FAA Determinations) in the vicinity of client sites; this information allows clients to make timely and informed decisions concerning their sites.
As an example, a client may receive a Site Scanner notice of a competitor’s new filing near a planned site or search ring. In response, site acquisition activities may be curtailed, construction cancelled or delayed, or acquisition/construction accelerated.
Site Scanner results may indicate a potential leasing opportunity if a carrier files near a client’s existing site (especially if it is an alternative location not listed in FCC/FAA databases, such as a building, water tower, billboard, or raw land site) and the carrier is not aware that it is available as a wireless site.
Clients can request Site Scanner monitoring for any point feature ---whether an existing or planned site ---as well as search areas, raw land, and lease-suitable structures.
Site Scanner normally monitors a two-mile radius around client-specified point locations, but it can also monitor a search radius around linear features, such as utility rights-of-way and fiber routes, as well as within area boundaries (BTAs, MTAs, counties, states, etc.)
